Steve J. Elliott

Steve (SJE) began his architectural career on a residential construction site in high school. Learning the basics of rough and finish carpentry, electrical wiring, masonry, roofing and interior finishes has provided a solid foundation for the thoughtful design of buildings and spaces that are creative, affordable, and practical to construct and maintain.

Steve was born and raised in Indiana where he received his Architectural Degree from Ball State University in 1993. His internship included stints with Design Firms, General Contractors, and Design-Builders in the Midwest before settling in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Steve has spent the last 20 years as a Project Architect designing churches, funeral homes and mausoleums, education facilities, retail and commercial real estate facilities, corporate interiors, and multi-family facilities. In 2019 Steve formed SJE ARCHitects with Angela Hernandez (ARCH).

Steve takes pride in collaborative relationships with his clients, design and construction teams, and recognizes that successful projects are the result of strong team communication and mutual respect.

Outside of Architecture, Steve enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and 2 sons, reading, wargaming, playing guitar, and learning something new every day.
